Despite Claims that Said Otherwise, Trump Confidently Admitted Back in 2015: ‘I’m Not Germophobic’
At his press conference today, President-Elect Donald Trump addressed the memo Buzzfeed published yesterday and denied some of the more salacious aspects of it, saying, “Does anyone really believe that story? I’m also very much a germaphobe, by the way, believe me.”
In 2015, however, during his Presidential campaign, Trump was on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter. At that point, it had been reported that he didn’t like to shake hands with people because he’s a germaphobe. Janice Min asked him whether he’d “kiss babies and shake hands on the trail.” He responded, saying, “I’m not germophobic.”

Some Twitter users have taken issue with the germaphobe claim, given some other things he’s said:
@piersmorgan Yup. He's right. A germaphobe that grabs women by their crotch.

If the President-elect is a self-confessed germaphobe, why does he grab women in the crotch?

Not sure how much of a germaphobe he is if he's ok with running up and kissing women without consent. #TrumpPressConference

For what it’s worth, there is a lot more reporting that suggests that yes, he is a germaphobe. Piers Morgan says he’s seen it himself.
Trump IS a germaphobe, fyi.
I've personally seen him recoil from shaking hands (not mine, obviously..) many times.— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) January 11, 2017
