Fox’s Shep Smith Jabs at Ann Coulter for Anti-Soccer Trolling
By now, Mediaite readers should be keenly aware of Ann Coulter‘s trollish syndicated column suggesting that it’s a “sign of the nation’s moral decay” for Americans to care about our national footie team’s World Cup fate.
Following team USA’s advancement to the Round of 16, Fox’s Shepard Smith made it clear that he read Coulter’s column and, oh, did he not care for it.
“It is a great day in the U.S.A,” Shep declared. “The U.S. men’s soccer team is heading to the next round of the World Cup, off to the knockout stage, number two in the group and we’re through.”
He then paused and with faux-concern, said to camera, “I’m told it’s a sign of moral decay.”
Shep paused once more, this time with a smirk and a slight head shake, and pointedly asserted: “It’s not.”
