Hannity: Anonymous NYT Op-Ed Shows There Are Clearly ‘Deep State Actors’ Trying to Undermine Trump

Sean Hannity tonight went on a tear against the anonymous White House official who wrote a New York Times op-ed saying that they and others are trying to save the country from President Donald Trump‘s worst impulses.

“We have unelected bureaucrats all over our nation’s capital,” Hannity said. “They have been and continue to work actively to undermine your 2016 vote. They all think they know better then you come up the American people. They think they know better than President Trump.”

He played video of Trump’s response bashing the “gutless” op-ed and the New York Times before asking:

“Who is this person? Where does this person work within the administration’s potentially hundreds of so-called senior officials in the executive branch? Does this person have access to top-secret information? Is there a national security risk? Now, of course, if he or she has a problem with the president or his agenda, they should quit immediately. But if they are going to undermine the president, and it deals with intelligence, sources, methods and national security, what if the president was talking about potentially having to go to war against an enemy? Are they going to undermine that, too? Think about how profound and dangerous that could be in spite of the gutless and cowardly hiding behind what is swamp attacks that we get every day.”

He said the author is one of many “deep state actors” who keep trying to “destroy President Trump.”

However, Hannity also said there’s something encouraging in the op-ed because it’s a “good sign the President is keeping his promise.”
