Fox News’ Martha MacCallum confronted White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders tonight over Anthony Scaramucci‘s profane trashing of fellow White House staffers in an absolutely stunning New Yorker interview.
Huckabee Sanders referenced Scaramucci’s Twitter statement and then said this:
“He’s very passionate about the President and the President’s agenda and I think he may have let that get the best of him in that conversation.”
MacCallum read one of Scaramucci’s bonkers quotes and asked what exactly the White House’s priority is. Huckabee Sanders insisted that most of the White House cares about jobs and not the infighting.
But MacCallum continued to press on whether the last 48 hours has shown Scaramucci to be an “effective communicator.”
Huckabee Sanders again said that “sometimes we have a lot of passion,” saying that now is the time to “push forward.”
“There’s a lot more hours in the day,” she added, “and this isn’t something that’s all-consuming for us.”
