Kellyanne Conway Says Adam Schiff Should Resign Over Mueller Findings

White House adviser Kellyanne Conway called on Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) to resign Monday, in light of Robert Mueller‘s report clearing President Donald Trump of collusion.

Conway joined Fox & Friends to celebrate the summary of Mueller’s findings released by the attorney general on Sunday. Conway swiped at Democrats and media figures by saying they “owe America an apology” for advancing the collusion narrative, and eventually honed in on the House Intelligence Committee chairman in particular.

“He ought to resign today,” Conway said of Schiff. “He’s been on every TV show for the last two years promising Americans that this president would be impeached or indicted.”

Conway continued to grumble about Trump’s press coverage, even complaining that media figures didn’t lose their jobs for being “embarrassingly wrong” about the 2016 election. As she accused political media outlets of abandoning all journalistic standards, she eventually returned to Schiff and reiterated her interest in seeing him resign.

“He has no right as somebody who has been peddling a lie day after day unchallenged and not under oath,” Conway said. “Somebody should’ve put him under oath and asked ‘Do you have evidence? Where is it?'”
