Laura Ingraham Celebrates ‘Flashback Friday’ By Mocking Obama’s Nobel Peace Prize: ‘If That’s the Benchmark…’
Laura Ingraham had a lot to say about the ongoing peace talks between North and South Korea.
Ingraham began by saying President Trump is “on the verge of a truly historic diplomatic triumph” as South Korea is growing more optimistic that their hostile neighbor in the north will denuclearize.
“I never thought I would ever see this in my lifetime, I have to say, guys,” Ingraham told her panel. “The idea of the North Korean dictator crossing over the DMZ to meet the South Korean leader, obviously speaking the same language, meeting together, embracing at one point after the handshake after they had their meeting.”
The Fox News host acknowledged that while it’s “still in the initial phases,” she gave credit to the president.
“I have to say, I think the only person who could have gotten us to this place––again, we’ll see where it goes––but it’s Donald Trump because of his unconventional approach to negotiations and frankly his tough talk,” Ingraham continued. “You didn’t know if people were going to say, ‘You gonna launch a nuclear war? Unilateral first strike, Mr. President?’ And he was like, ‘No, but we’re gonna solve this.”
She then celebrated “Flashback Friday” and showed a 2009 clip of President Obama accepting the Nobel Peace Prize.
“That was in ten-and-a-half months,” Ingraham reacted. “He was getting people to accept responsibility for facing global challenges. Now if that’s the benchmark… then Donald Trump, regardless of what happens, has to be a shoe-in for the Nobel.”
