Boebert Says She’d ‘Absolutely’ Heckle Biden Again After Ingraham Accuses Media of Having ‘Smeared’ Her Because of It

Laura Ingraham interviewed Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) on Fox News Wednesday after the congresswoman heckled President Joe Biden during his State of the Union address the night before.

Biden was explaining that some veterans return from abroad after having been exposed to toxic chemicals. He was about to discuss the loss of his son Beau Biden to brain cancer in 2015 after having served in the Iraq war.

“Many of the world’s fittest and best-trained warriors in the world [are] never the same,” Biden said. “Headaches. Numbness. Dizziness. A cancer that would put them in a flag-draped coffin.”

As Biden paused, Boebert shouted, “You put them in 13 of them,” a reference to the 13 U.S. service members who died during the military’s withdrawal from Afghanistan last year.

Boebert was booed by other members in the House chamber and took a fair amount of richly deserved criticism for her outburst.

After the speech, Boebert predictably turned her tantrum into a fundraising opportunity.

“Congresswoman, you got an enormous amount of heat,” said Ingraham. “You were smeared in the media for breach of decorum. Why did you speak out during this speech as you did?”

Boebert replied that “it is never wrong to stand up and speak out for moms and dads who lost their children.”

She then said Biden is “100% responsible for the deaths of the 13 brave service members we lost in Afghanistan.” The freshman congresswoman complained that, “Last night, he took zero responsibility for it.”

To be clear, the House rostrum is not a confessional booth where the president must cop to offenses that Boebert has accused him of committing.

“The mother of one of those heroes lives in my district,” she continued. “She told me Joe Biden killed her son. So, you’re darn right I spoke up. And if I could redo last night, I would absolutely do it again.”
