Letitia James Caught on Camera Smirking Before Don Jr. Takes Stand for Defense in Fraud Trial
Moments before Donald Trump, Jr. was set to testify for the defense in the Trump Organization fraud trial, a pool feed captured New York Attorney General Letitia James clearly smirking in a New York courtroom.
While no cameras are allowed in the courtroom for the actual trial, a pool feed has captured seated attendees just before the proceedings begin and has in the past created at least one viral moment.
Trump, Jr. is expected to testify on behalf of his father and the family business, Trump Org, who have already been found liable and are on trial to determine a reasonable punishment for the fraud that’s occurred.
CNN’s Brynn Gringas reports Trump’s “defense here is going to try to prove the fact that the Trump Sons, the Trump organization, did not try to have this conspiracy to defraud banks and insurers to get special rates on their properties by inflating those financial statements.:
“Now, if you remember, Don Jr was on the stand as a state’s witness just about two weeks ago, and he distanced himself from being, you know, one of the top heads of the Trump organization and preparing those financial statements.”
