Maher Blasts The Media For ‘Stupid’ Caravan Coverage: ‘You’re Doing Trump’s Bidding!’

Bill Maher had some harsh words for the media for their coverage of the migrant caravan that is making its way towards the U.S.

Before high-profile Democrats were receiving pipe bombs in the mail, the caravan received constant attention, something Maher hasn’t forgotten about.

“If the media’s liberal, I gotta say, they’re doing Donald Trump‘s bidding, especially with this stupid, f**king caravan” Maher told the panel. “You know, it’s a lie that this caravan is a problem of that magnitude, then why cover it so much on all your networks?!? You’re doing Donald Trump’s dirty work!”

Anthony Scaramucci weighed in, saying that the media’s “mistake” is that they’re covering it from too high of a position and not covering it close enough to keep the focus on a “human level” and the media is doing a “disservice.” Washington Post columnist Max Boot agreed, arguing we should “show empathy” and not “demagogue” them.
