McCain: What Trump Wants Amounts to ‘Destruction of Free Press’

John McCain appeared on CNN tonight to trash Donald Trump for his war with Fox News. He told Wolf Blitzer, “Anyone who is running for office and gets to pick who the moderator is, that’s the destruction of free press as we know it.”

One of the problems McCain brought up was how the media gives Trump a “free pass” by letting him do phone interviews and how he’s able to grab everyone’s attention with the most outlandish things.

As for the event Trump is holding during the Fox News debate tomorrow, McCain said, “I wish he were not using a veterans event as a way to further his own political agenda.”

He praised Megyn Kelly as “an outstanding journalist” and said that Trump’s vagueness
