Mika Brzezinski Calls on White House to Put a ‘Strong Voice’ on Fox News to ‘Clap Back’ and Fight for Biden

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski called on the White House to send surrogates on Fox News to fight for President Joe Biden on Morning Joe Monday morning, complaining that “nobody claps it back” against the network’s “lies” about him.

“You know what? Until there’s a real legitimate clap back on Fox News and other networks, nobody’s, none of this stuff is reaching the right people,” submitted Brzezinski during a broader discussion about Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report and the questions about Biden’s capacity to lead raised by it.

She continued:

Fox News lies all day about Joe Biden. In fact, when this Hur document came out, I was flipping around and they were saying, “Oh my gosh, Joe Biden’s documents were locked up, were loose in his garage and flying in the air. And meanwhile, Donald Trump has his locked up on an island.” Like literally that was said as if it was truth. Nobody claps it back. Nobody from the White House goes on Fox News and tries to tell the truth. I don’t know if Fox News won’t have them or if the people they’re having are weak, but there’s got to be a very strong voice that goes on these networks and speaks to these issues in a way that can be heard. And right now, they need a real, a real response to a lot of different things that are floating out there in the form of disinformation or veiled lies that were on a network that was, you know, once considered a news network, but is really just kind of an arm of the Trump campaign.

Last week, Brzezinski’s co-host and husband Joe Scarborough reacted to the revelation that Biden expressed confusion over the years he served as vice president during an interview with Hur by denouncing the special counsel as a “Trumper.”
