Mika Brzezinski Chokes Up After Morning Joe Plays Funeral Speech By Hamas Hostage’s Mother

Morning Joe host Mika Brzezinski choked up as she attempted to continue reporting Tuesday after playing back the heart-wrenching funeral speech for Hersh Goldberg-Polin, the 23-year-old Israeli-American killed by Hamas, delivered by his mother, Rachel Goldberg.

Goldberg-Polin, injured and abducted during the October 7 terrorist attack by Hamas against Israel, was murdered by the terrorist group in Rafah on Saturday as Israeli Defence Forces attempted a rescue operation.

During her emotional speech, Golberg said: “If there was something we could have done to save you and we didn’t think of it, I beg your forgiveness. We tried so very hard, so deeply and desperately… Finally, my sweet boy, finally, finally, finally, finally, you’re free.”

After rolling back a clip of the speech, Brzezinski choked up as she attempted to continue reporting on the work by political leaders to secure hostage release, clearly left shaken by the video of Goldberg.
