Mika to Sharpton: Dems ‘Played to the Cheap Seats, But There Was No One in Them’

MSNBC host Al Sharpton criticized Democratic candidates Thursday morning for running from President Barack Obama and failing to counter fearmongering GOP arguments over ebola and the like. Mika Brzezinski agreed, arguing that Democratic candidates — who had a bad election night, to put it mildly — compromised for no discernible gain.

“We always accuse the Republicans of playing for the cheap seats,” Brzezinski said. “The Democrats did this time. But there was nobody in them.”

“They weren’t playing for seats that wasn’t even in the stadium,” Sharpton said. “Who were you playing to?”
