Newt Gingrich Analyzes Comey Video on Mute, Concludes He’s ‘Almost A Pathological Liar’
Newt Gingrich. Former Speaker of the House. One-time Republican presidential candidate. Crossfire co-host. Body language expert and psychoanalyst?
Appearing on Fox & Friends this morning, the Fox News contributor was asked to comment on former FBI Director James Comey’s interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper in which the ex-FBI chief discussed former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe. Gingrich, however, wanted them to replay the interview clip, but without the sound so he could analyze Comey’s facial expressions and body movements.
“Watch his face,” Gingrich demanded. “Turn off the sound, watch his face.”
As Fox & Friends replayed the soundless clip, Gingrich said they were “looking at a guy who around the 7th grade practiced sincerity,” adding observations that Comey likely lied as a child about hitting cars and throwing baseballs.
“You’re saying he’s acting?” Steve Doocy asked the ex-speaker.
“I’m saying he taught himself an early age a series of self-serving emotions, which he uses over,” Gingrich responded. “Watch him for a couple of hours of this stuff, he uses it over and over and over. This is almost a pathological liar.”
