NY Times Calls Out OAN for Harassment After Network Doxxes Its Reporter and Urges Viewers to Contact Her Over Hit Piece

One America News Network aired the email and phone number of a New York Times reporter, urging viewers to contact her in protest of a piece she is apparently reporting about the right wing network.

OAN — which has recently gained attention for bonkers conspiracy theories about the 2020 election — aired a segment Thursday in which they accused Times media reporter Rachel Abrams of “harassing current and former OAN employees” for an upcoming “hit-piece” about the network.

“One America News is, yet again, coming under attack by the hate-filled liberal left,” an OAN broadcaster announced to open the segment.

OAN based its claims on a message the reporter sent to one of their employees asking about the “culture” at the network. To anyone that knows anything about journalism, the email is an entirely innocuous, standard request for an interview.

Declaring the request proof of “the sad state of mainstream media,” OAN’s segment went on to blast the Times, before airing another message that Abrams sent asking for interviews.

This message included her work email and cell phone number (we blurred those out in the video above) as the OAN broadcaster declared: “We encourage our viewers to stand up to intimidation by the Left, and feel free to reach out to the Times writer.”

“We encourage the company to address its own issues instead of sourcing disgruntled former OAN employees as a means the lambast OAN,” the unidentified broadcaster told viewers.

In a statement to CNN’s Oliver Darcy, the Times said, “Journalists should be allowed to do their jobs without harassment. Our reporter will not be intimidated and will continue to follow the facts where they lead.”
