Omarosa Shares Recording of John Kelly Firing Her: ‘Very Obvious’ It Was ‘A Threat
During Omarosa Manigault‘s Meet the Press interview this morning, Chuck Todd played what she described as a recording of John Kelly firing her.
Todd prefaced it by asking with some bewilderment how she was able to record the White House chief of staff in the Situation Room, as she claims.
She defended herself and said she felt threatened, telling Todd if she didn’t have the recording people would have continued to believe the false stories about her firing.
Kelly can be heard on the tape saying, “I think it’s important to understand that if we make this a friendly departure, we can all be––you know, you can look at your time here in the White House as a year of service to the nation. And then you can go on without any type of difficulty in the future relative to your reputation.”
Manigault called that remark an obvious “threat.”
At another point in the tape, she asks whether President Donald Trump is aware of this. Kelly calls it a “non-negotiable discussion” and tells her this concerns “pretty serious integrity violations.”
Manigault invited the White House to release her file on whatever these violations were.
