O’Reilly Follows Up on Fight With ‘Elitist’ George Will: I ‘Confront Deceit Head-On’
Bill O’Reilly tonight reacted to viewer emails about his explosive interview with George Will last Friday, standing by every word he said.
O’Reilly‘s book Killing Reagan has come under fire by some historians saying O’Reilly got his facts wrong about the late Republican president. Will was particularly harsh with his criticism and called the book a “no-facts zone.”
Well, last Friday O’Reilly confronted him and basically shouted at him and called Will a “hack.”
After that segment taped, Will swiped at O’Reilly as “unhinged” on Fox’s Special Report, and tonight O’Reilly followed up on how it went.
As he read through viewer emails on the segment, O’Reilly said, “There are two kinds of people in the world: those who confront deceit head-on, and those who take over avenues.” He stood by the accuracy of Killing Reagan and insisted that Will “chose to attack” him.
O’Reilly also pulled back the curtain a bit on how little he and Will like each other. O’Reilly said he doesn’t think Will’s “elitist presentation” is a good fit for his show, while he said Will considers him a “vulgarian who does not deserve the forum I have.”
