Paul Ryan: Trump’s ‘Heart’s in the Right Place’ on Issues of Race

Speaker Paul Ryan told CBS News’ John Dickerson in an interview that aired this morning that President Trump‘s “heart’s in the right place” on issues of race.

Ryan defended Trump on this even as he acknowledged the President made missteps on Charlottesville.

The Speaker did side with the President on NFL protests and argued that the players don’t understand how it looks to so many Americans when they kneel during the national anthem.
