Reince Priebus Hails Biden: ‘Far More Likable’ than Hillary

RNC chairman Reince Priebus is clearly excited about the prospect of Vice President Joe Biden entering the Democratic primary. When the Today show’s Savannah Guthrie brought up the recent reports that indicate Biden is considering a run, Priebus practically gave the vice president his endorsement.
“Certainly Joe Biden is far more likable,” he said, comparing the sitting VP to Hillary Clinton. He also characterized Biden as a “tougher” opponent for Republicans. “Hillary Clinton has a lot of problems. I think she is an opponent that’s easy to define.”
“I think Joe Biden is someone that a lot of people, whether they like his politics or not, they like him, and likability – you can analyze politics all you want, likability is probably the number one issue on the ballot,” Priebus added.
Earlier in the interview, the RNC chair also offered up his preview of the first GOP debate set to air tomorrow night on Fox News with Donald Trump standing centerstage. “There’s a diverse field. It’s a young field. Everyone brings a little something different to the table. I think it’s going to be a great night,” Priebus said.
