Sarah Huckabee Sanders Swipes at Harris for Not Having Biological Kids: ‘Doesn’t Have Anything Keeping Her Humble’

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders took a potshot at Vice President Kamala Harris because the Democratic nominee does not have biological children.

Harris has two stepchildren via husband Doug Emhoff’s previous marriage. Some Republicans such as vice presidential nominee JD Vance have demeaned “childless cat ladies” who run the Democratic Party.

Speaking at a town hall in Flint, Michigan with former President Donald Trump, Sanders said her children keep her “humble” and that Harris has no such presence in her life.

“So, my kids keep me humble,” she told the crowd. “Unfortunately, Kamala Harris doesn’t have anything keeping her humble.”

The crowd responded by booing Harris.

Sanders’s remarks echo those of Vance, who has repeatedly gone after women without children of their own.

“We’re effectively run in this country via the Democrats, via our corporate oligarchs, by a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made,” Vance told Fox News in 2021. “And so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too. And it’s just a basic fact. You look at Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, AOC, the entire future of the Democrats is controlled by people without children.”

The senator from Ohio has said he believes that parents should receive additional votes for each child they have.

Last year, Sanders signed a bill into law making it easier for employers in Arkansas to hire children.
