Shep Smith: Anybody Talking About The Fact That The Bin Laden Operation Is Illegal?
On Fox News today, Shepard Smith was getting an update from Catherine Herridge regarding new details emerging about the raid on Osama bin Laden‘s compound. Yet Shep was interested in learning whether anyone in government was challenging, or attempting to defend the legality of the operation.
Herridge reported on the ongoing dispute between Republican Congressman Peter King and the Obama administration regarding whether waterboarding ultimately led to actionable intelligence on bin Laden. Shep asked, “Is anybody talking about the fact that this is illegal – this operation was illegal? Or is that a matter that’s going to be left for another day?” Shep’s Fox colleague Judge Andrew Napolitano is loudly arguing that issue, but Herridge wasn’t aware of any elected official discussing such a concern yet.
