Trevor Noah Asks Making a Murderer Directors About Going Viral: Have You Created a Monster?

Trevor Noah spoke with the directors of Making a Murderer tonight about going viral overnight and what they were trying to say about the justice system.

Moira Demos and Laura Ricciardi talked about how they didn’t intend for the national conversation to specifically be about Steven Avery, but about the issues inherent in the system despite progress with things like DNA testing.

At one point, Noah brought up just how viral the Netflix show has become––even getting its share of critics––and how worked-up people have gotten debating it, asking, “Do you feel like you guys have created a monster?”

Noah also thanked them for finally making white people realize what black people have been trying to tell them for years about the justice system.
