Trump Bets Lawrence O’Donnell Year’s Salary He’s Telling Truth About Paycheck

Oh for the love of god.

One of the most literally amazing things about Donald Trump is his willingness and ability to respond to every single thing said about him. So, after MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell derailed a Morning Joe segment by claiming Trump was lying about his NBC salary, Trump picked up the phone and called into the show to respond.

And respond he did. Trump bet O’Donnell one year of his salary (which he claims is circa $20 million) that he’s telling the truth about his NBC paycheck. It’s a neat trick on Trump’s part: if he’s lying, he won’t have to pay O’Donnell very much (by his standards); if he’s not, he won’t have to pay at all.

The Morning Joe crew, which was a bit peeved at O’Donnell’s caustic performance earlier, said O’Donnell had no way out of the bet. Mediaite has reached out to MSNBC to see if O’Donnell will accept, and will update this post accordingly.
