Tucker Carlson: If ‘Information Changed Hands’ Between Trump Campaign and Russians, ‘So What?’

Tucker Carlson had a lackluster reaction to news that Michael Cohen is claiming that his former client Donald Trump knew about, and authorized, the famed Trump Tower meeting between Don Jr. and a Kremlin-linked Russian lawyer, despite his repeated denials.

After playing a clip of his old nemesis Max Boot declaring the news “a big deal,” Carlson asked… “It it?”

“Well, if the president lied about it or anything else under oath, yes it is, that would be a big deal,” he conceded. “Perjury is always a big deal. They don’t tell Bill Clinton’s defenders that.”

“Otherwise, though, it’s hard to see the point of all of this hysteria,” he continued. “What exactly would the crime here be? It’s not illegal to talk to foreigners. Nobody is claiming that any information changed hands, though, even if it did, so what?”

Carlson went on to cite “principled lefty” Glenn Greenwald, who pointed out that the DNC hired a Ukrainian-American operative for volunteer research on Paul Manafort, the former Trump campaign manager.
