ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel observed on Wednesday that the American holidays of Thanksgiving, the Fourth of July and others are conspicuously Anti-British. While he observed that this is a natural celebration of American heritage, it is also perfectly legitimate for the English to take umbrage at the repeated insults. To illustrate the dissatisfaction of America’s closest ally, award-winning actor Gary Oldman admonished America in a video message and exacted England’s righteous vengeance against a traditional Thanksgiving spread.
Oldman began by informing Americans that the Thanksgiving holiday hurts the feelings of Englishmen everywhere.
“Not only did you flee our country to avoid paying taxes you now pay so willingly, you rub our faces in it with a big food orgy,” Oldman said. “Guess what? We’re glad you’re not British anymore.”
Oldman proceeded to take his frustrations out on the Thanksgiving fare in front of him.
