WATCH: Qatar Rolls Out Red Tesla Cybertrucks for Trump’s Presidential Convoy

President Donald Trump touched down in Qatar on Wednesday to a full red carpet reception — and one particularly flashy detail: a motorcade flanked by red Cybertrucks.

After a fighter jet escort into Qatari airspace, Trump was personally greeted by Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, before he joined the motorcade convoy for a ride into the capital, Doha.

The vehicles, owned by Qatar’s Internal Security Force known as Lekhwiya and manufactured by Trump ally Elon Musk’s company Tesla, were a stark visual counterpoint to Trump’s otherwise black painted convoy.

Trump’s arrival in the country, part of a multi-stop trip through the Middle East, comes as bipartisan backlash continues to grow over the Qatari royal family’s offered gift of a $400 luxury jumbo jet for use as Air Force One.

Just hours before touching down, Trump doubled down in defense of the offer as one that would save the American taxpayer money.
