‘You F*cked Me!’ George Clooney Lashed Out at MSNBC Producer in Rage Over Mika Brzezinski’s Biden Claim: Book

George Clooney, normally the picture of Hollywood composure, reportedly lost it on an MSNBC producer after a Morning Joe segment that linked former President Barack Obama to his now-infamous New York Times editorial that called on former President Joe Biden to step out of the 2024 race.

The dramatic confrontation, detailed in Biden biographer Chris Whipple’s upcoming campaign tell-all Unchartered: How Trump Beat Biden, Harris, and the Odds in the Wildest Campaign in History, reveals how Democratic tensions spilled over into attacks on media coverage.

The excerpt was published in full by independent journalist Tara Palmeri in the Thursday edition of Red Letter on Substack.

The segment in question featured Morning Joe host Mika Brzezinski suggesting Obama may have authorized Clooney to publish the op-ed urging Biden to step down.

“This wasn’t George Clooney,” Brzezinski said during the debate, before adding: “I think that Barack Obama has a lot of influence.”

According to Whipple’s account, Clooney went ballistic.

“How the fuck could you let her link me with Barack Obama saying he made me write the op-ed?” Clooney reportedly shouted during a phone call with a Morning Joe producer.

When the producer denied involvement, Clooney allegedly screamed: “You fucked me… You’re my friend. You should have stood up for me.”

According to Whipple, the producer replied: “George, this is not a fucking movie. There’s no script. It’s just not a movie where you go script page to script page.”

“Fuck you!” Clooney returned.

“Fuck yourself!” the producer clapped back.

The exchange devolved into a profanity-laced back-and-forth that lasted several phone calls and hours.

At one point, the producer snapped: “This is a morning talk show on a cable channel. Nobody gives a fuck if we say he should get out or if he should stay in. Nobody fucking cares. It’s skywriting. It’s fucking gone. George, I told you before, we’ll try and take care of it tomorrow morning. I promise you.”

“I don’t know whether I trust you,” Clooney replied.

“Well, fuck you,” said the producer. “If you don’t trust me, stop fucking calling me.”

While the Clooney-Obama link might have been speculative fodder, Clooney, a longtime Democratic ally and fundraising powerhouse, became a central figure in the post-debate fallout — and Morning Joe’s framing clearly hit a nerve.
