Deputy Tory Chair Lee Anderson Furious As LBC ‘Vile Hoax’ Caller Poses As Son, Accuses Him Of Drunken Violence

Conservative deputy chairman and GB News host Lee Anderson demanded a police investigation on Monday into a “vile hoax” call made during an LBC radio show hosted by Rachel Johnson.

The caller, who identified himself as Charlie Anderson from Ashfield, the MP’s constituency, claimed to be the MP’s son. He began by saying he would vote Labour for the first time.

He said: “It came to head the other night when he came back from the studio somewhere in London drunk and he’s basically saying at this rate with [leader of the Reform Party] Richard Tice, [he had] more chance to joining the UKIP or the BNP party.”

The call, which aired on Sunday evening, rapidly escalated as the caller made further allegations.

He continued: “I said, ‘Dad my friends are, you know, Asian Heritage’ and he tried to headbutt me and grabbed me and basically told my mum to leave.”

The caller initially stated he was 23 years old, then altered it to 24, while the real Charlie Anderson is 33 years old. On this disparity, host Johnson promptly terminated the call, citing it as a “very personal issue.”

In response, Lee Anderson unleashed a furious rebuttal on X (formerly Twitter), labelling the incident a “vile hoax” and a “slur on my family.”

“’The person who has made this hoax call is sick. I shall be reporting this to the police and so should @LBC,” the MP wrote.

The situation took an even more personal turn as Harry Anderson, another son of the MP, also refuted the claims, stating unequivocally: “That person is not my brother.”
