Andrew Neil To Join Times Radio For UK, US Election Coverage

Neil has a long career covering elections at both the BBC and as chairman of The Spectator.
Veteran broadcaster Andrew Neil will join Times Radio this September to deliver political analysis ahead of the UK and US elections.
“Western liberal democracy has been tested more in these last years than in living memory,” Neil said. “My show on Times Radio will look to define the signal from the noise.”
The chairman of The Spectator and former BBC presenter will host a daily news programme at 1pm, Monday to Thursday. His show promises to feature high-profile interviews and Neil’s take on the day’s political events.
Neil’s arrival at Times Radio comes as the station celebrates a record 4.4 million average weekly listening hours.
Tim Levell, Times Radio’s programme director, praised Neil’s long running career and journalistic authority in election coverage.
“His interviews will be unmissable. His analysis will be peerless,” Levell said. Neil joins a lineup including journalist Kate McCann as well as former Tory politicians Daniel Finkelstein and William Hague.
