TalkTV host Piers Morgan mocked Nigel Farage for losing the ITV I’m A Celebrity final, calling the him the “biggest snake in Britain.”
Farage, who works as a host at GB News, made it to Sunday night’s final with fellow finalists former boxer Tony Bellew and Made In Chelsea’s Sam Thompson, who would be crowned winner.
“I’m now a remainer – a camp remainer that is,” the infamous Brexiteer joked. “I’m absolutely thrilled to be one of the last three.”
He was not, however, to be made King of the Jungle, and lost the public vote to come third place.
The former leader of UK Independence Party (UKIP), who was unsuccessful in gaining a parliamentary seat despite seven attempts, in fact, endured one final bushtucker trial by being locked in a box filled with snakes.
On X, Morgan couldn’t resist taking a shot, showing that there’s no love lost between them:
Farage’s appearance on the reality show for a reported £1.5 million fee, coincided with a drop in ratings, viewers down 2.1 million on the previous year from opening episode. Political activists led a campaign to boycott the show for platforming him in a series that saw the Farage clash with other contestants in debates over immigration.
In the final night of the show, Farage also entertained speculation about a possible return to the Conservative Party during a conversation with another contestant.
