Steve Schmidt on Rigged Election Claims: ‘A Moment of Clear and Present Danger’

Republican strategist Steve Schmidt denounced Donald Trump‘s refusal to commit to honoring the election results.

In the post-debate analysis on MSNBC, Schmidt called it, “A moment of clear and present danger to our Constitutional order, to the Republic.”

Calling on Paul Ryan to come out against Trump’s comments, Schmidt added: “This came down to one thing in 90 minutes. You have a candidate, one of the nominees of the two political parties, who has broken a foundational political compact.”
