Stormy Daniels Is Raising a Whole Lotta Cash For Her Trump Lawsuit

As the battle between Stormy Daniels and Michael Cohen/President Trump continues, the porn star has raked up quite a bit of dough to help cover her legal expenses.
For the last few days, Daniels has been running a crowdfunding campaign for anyone who wishes to help her “speak honestly and openly to the American people about my relationship with now President Donald Trump and the intimidation and tactics used against me.” As of Saturday night, the campaign has received approximately $230,000.
Here is what campaign donations will be used for, according to Daniels’ page:
I need funds to pay for: attorneys’ fees; out-of-pocket costs associated with the lawsuit, arbitration, and my right to speak openly; security expenses; and damages that may be awarded against me if I speak out and ultimately lose to Mr. Trump and Mr. Cohen.
For the last few weeks, Daniels has made waves with her intentions to publicly discuss her liaison with the president. Michael Avenatti, Daniel’s attorney, recently told interviewers that Daniels is prepared to offer “very specific details” about Trump, and that she received threats of physical harm to keep quiet before the 2016 election.
Daniels and Avenatti say that the former’s NDA with Cohen is null and void because the president never signed it, though Trump’s lawyer is suing for $20 million for her alleged violation of the agreement.
