Amazon to Pull Confederate Flag Merchandise from Website
Amazon has become the latest online retailer to make the decision to ban Confederate flag-themed merchandise from their website in the wake of a widespread backlash.
Amazon joins Walmart, Sears and eBay in banning Confederate flag merchandise. Earlier in the day, sales of the flag on Amazon surged as a result of its an on other online retail website.
Criticism of the flag flared up after images emerged of Charleston shooter Dylann Storm Roof waving a Confederate flag and with a Confederate flag licenses plate. The South Carolina House of Representatives overwhelmingly voted Tuesday afternoon to remove the Confederate flag from the State House grounds.
