Brian Kilmeade Knocks “Arrogant” Joe Scarborough, “Left-Wing” Amanpour
On his radio show today, Brian Kilmeade used a caller’s complaints as a jumping off point to slam MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and ABC’s Christiane Amanpour.
The harshest critique was aimed at Scarborough, who Kilmeade described as “arrogant” and a “non-impact player.”
Johnny Dollar caught Kilmeade slamming Scarborough this morning:
I don’t watch him. I’m on the air at the time. I have no interest in his career. I have no interest in what he says. I look at him as a non-impact player. He’s an arrogant, cocky guy that thinks he’s much better and more accomplished and more intelligent than he is. But I have no interest in calling him out.
Right, no interest in calling him out at all…
Well we know one colleague of Kilmeade’s who disagrees – Megyn Kelly counts herself as a viewer of Morning Joe. And Kilmeade may feel Scarborough is “arrogant” and “cocky” but it’s hard to argue that he’s a non-impact player. While his show doesn’t have nearly the viewership as Kilmeade’s morning show, Scarborough and Morning Joe have something else less tangible – influence. It’s what gets the program such big name guests, and gets Scarborough enormous profiles like the one in GQ this month.
As for Amanpour, Kilmeade gave some praise to David Gregory, contrasting his background with that Amanpour’s. “She has an agenda,” says Kilmeade, identifying her as “left-wing.”
