Donald Trump Appears to Have Copied Unsourced Tweet About Orlando Massacre
In the aftermath of the Orlando nightclub shooting that left 50 people dead, Donald Trump wasted no time taking to twitter to denounce the shootings, and terrorism. But, one of his tweets has drawn scrutiny because it looks like it was directly copied and pasted from a former Breitbart editor’s twitter account. Not only that, he tweeted out unconfirmed reports, and insinuated that the Orlando shooting was related to an arrest in Los Angeles. CNN’s Brian Stelter first picked up on the similarities.

At this point, no law enforcement officials have confirmed that the gunman yelled “Allah hu Akbar” during the attack. In addition, the LA Times reported that law enforcement do not believe that the man arrested near the Los Angeles parade was connected to the Orlando shooting. Sebastian Gorka sent out the original tweet that Trump appeared to have copied. According to an April Buzzfeed report, Gorka is a former Breitbart news national security editor and was paid $8,000 by the Trump campaign for “policy consulting.” He reportedly owns a national security consulting group.
