Megyn Kelly Asks Kellyanne Conway Why She Backs Trump After Saying She Hates Name-Calling
Donald Trump‘s new campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, was in the tank for Ted Cruz throughout the primary season. Prior to boarding the Trump Train, Conway spoke out against political name-calling, so tonight on Fox News, Megyn Kelly asked how she can work for a campaign that is notorious for, well, name-calling.
Kelly even brought up the fact that Trump called MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski “neurotic” just today:
Conway said that he won’t call someone a name without being attacked first, so Kelly asked if that is really an excuse.
Kelly then took a quick dig at MSNBC, saying that Morning Joe has “like, two viewers,” so Trump shouldn’t be concerned with what Brzezinski and her colleagues are saying about him, anyway. Kelly argued that Trump wastes his time with petty insults.
Conway deflected and changed the subject to the campaign’s goal of defeating Hillary Clinton.
