Glenn Beck To Address Knesset Committee On Visit To Israel
With his tenure at Fox News winding down, Glenn Beck is gearing up for his “Restoring Courage” rally in Israel, and news sources covering his visit have now announced that the conservative TV and radio host will be addressing the Knesset’s Immigration, Absorption, and Diaspora Affairs Committee on several issues pertaining to the peace process.
According to JTA, and confirmed independently, Beck will, in fact, address a committee within the Israeli legislature on a variety of things:
Beck will discuss how to fight the delegitimization of Israel around the world at a July 11 meeting of the Knesset Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Affairs Committee at the invitation of the committee chairman, Danny Danon of the Likud Party, The Jerusalem Post reported Tuesday.
The meeting reportedly will focus on the September meeting of the United Nations General Assembly, when the Palestinians say they will ask for recognition of a Palestinian state.
During his time in Israel, Beck will also visit the victims of Palestinian terrorists and make other public stops before the rally. Whether the news of him addressing the legislature of the nation is a first in terms of importance allotted internationally to an American pundit is up to historical fact-checkers to confirm, Beck’s stint in front of the Knesset certainly gives a certain weight to his entire rally experiment abroad.
