GOP Rep. Steve King: ‘Illegal Aliens Have Just Invaded My DC Office’!
As DREAMers descend upon Capitol Hill this week to lobby politicians over the so-called “Gang of Eight” immigration reform bill, Rep. Steve King (R-IA) tweeted out several remarks about how “illegal aliens” have “invaded” his D.C. offices, and Obama’s “lawless” executive order gives them immunity from the guarding of his doors.
The so-called “DREAMers” intend to confront politicians in Congress for the next several weeks to ensure that the legislative provision allowing families separated by deportation to be reunited does not get watered down or removed altogether by the more staunch opponents to the currently-proposed version of reforms.
Rep. King, who has been a vocal opponent of the Gang of Eight bill, tweeted this afternoon:
Several minutes later, he reiterated his belief that the reform proposals are tantamount to immunity for illegal immigrants, tweeting that Congress itself had fallen victim to “amnesty”:
