Guess How Trump Reacted to Jeb Bush Calling His 9/11 Slam on George W. ‘Pathetic’
Donald Trump took notice of Jeb Bush‘s retort to his shot at George W. Bush today, and he definitely did not approve of it.
During an interview with Bloomberg this morning, Trump ripped the former president for allowing the September 11 terror attacks to happen under his watch. Some observers have taken Trump to mean that he was blaming Bush himself, at least in part, for the disaster.
“Say what you want, the World Trade Center came down during his time,” Trump said. “Blame him or don’t blame him, but he was president. The World Trade Center came down during his reign.”
Despite reportedly promising he would not respond, Jeb Bush did eventually lash against Trump’s “pathetic” attack on his brother:
How pathetic for @realdonaldtrump to criticize the president for 9/11. We were attacked & my brother kept us safe.

And of course, since its Trump, he reacted by doing what he does best:
.@JebBush, At the debate you said your brother kept us safe- I wanted to be nice & did not mention the WTC came down during his watch, 9/11.

No @JebBush, you’re pathetic for saying nothing happened during your brother’s term when the World Trade Center was attacked and came down.

.@JebBush, like it or not, our country needs more energy and spirit than you can provide! #MakeAmericaGreatAgain
