High School Recalls Yearbooks With Quotes Like ‘Build That Wall’

We’ve brought you stories of high school seniors playing “pranks” with fake border walls and students taunting opposing schools’ basketball teams with Trump posters and signs with puns about deportation. Now, a high school in North Carolina has had to recall their yearbooks because of quotes some students chose, including one that said, “Build that wall!”
Here is the statement from Richmond Early College High School:
According to the Charlotte Observer, only 22 yearbooks had been preordered, so the recall wasn’t as big as it could have been had the administration noticed the quote any later.
The issue appears to be that some of the students are minorities and there is concern over how the quote will affect their experience in the school.
Students will be reimbursed for their books, though the school will not be able to print and distribute new copies before the school year ends.
