Jeb Campaign Fires Back at Media Reports on ‘Stuff Happens’: ‘Sad and Beyond Craven’
Jeb Bush‘s campaign issued a pretty fiery statement in response to the media reports about Bush saying “stuff happens” in speaking about tragedy.
After Bush’s two-word comment was tweeted out, he was instantly pilloried all over Twitter and by various liberal websites for what was interpreted as a callous remark about the Oregon shooting. Even President Obama weighed in after hearing some of what Bush said.
And, of course, the Democrats already pounced:
A message for Jeb Bush: 380 Americans have been killed in 294 mass shootings in 2015 alone. "Stuff" doesn't just "happen." Inaction happens.

UPDATE –– 6:21 pm EST: Bush himself also tweeted about the blowback he got:
Liberal Dems & some in media distorted my words to advance their agenda in wake of tragedy. It's wrong. Thx to those who set record straight
