Representative Charlie Rangel (D-NY) is currently under investigation by the House Ethics committee for, among other things, improper fund-raising. On Tuesday, Rangel took the opportunity of a rare recess session to present an 30 minute “defense” of charges he faces (and ostensibly his political career) in an epically rambling speech that defined the term “political theater.” If you missed the speech and would like to watch the highlights (with comedic commentary provided by Jon Stewart) then please view the clip below.

In the following clip, Stewart tears apart Rangel’s speech, perhaps best summed up by Stewart’s translation “there may have been a quid pro quo, but the quid was accidental and the quo was (bleep)!”

You know RRK I’ve been on this sight a little while and noticed something. You seem very obsessed with FOX. A channel you claim to hate. You’re time might be better served promoting MSNBC than howling at the the proverbial moon (FOX)? For all your yelling and screaming about FOX only having 1% of the market why not try to get MSNBC to 1%? There is an old saying that goes something like… “The dogs bark but the caravan moves on”. Not sure if that is exactly right but you get the idea. My point is, your doing a lot of barking… no?
