Limbaugh Outraged by Attack on ‘Babe’ in Lewandowski Story, But Not That One

2-radio-stations-drop-rush-limbaughs-show-1The arrest-like event of Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski for simple battery has dominated news coverage Tuesday, and while many are outraged by video that shows Lewandowski grabbing then-Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields, conservative radio giant Rush Limbaugh had a strong reaction of his own about a “babe” being attacked. What was so offensive to Limbaugh that he told his audience “It offends my sensibilities!”, whatever those are? Spoiler alert: It wasn’t the attack on Michelle Fields. From The Rush Limbaugh Show:

They’ve got a Kasich spokesman on CNN weighing in on this Lewandowski thing. I don’t know. Something about that just offends my sensibilities. A Kasich spokesman? You got the Trump spokeswoman up there, you got the Cruz spokesman, the Kasich spokesman, got Wolf Blitzer, and they’re ganging up on the babe. She’s holding her own pretty well, what’s her name? Katrina Peterson? What’s her name? Katrina awhawhawha. Anyway, a Kasich spokesman, what? Pierson! Katrina Pierson. A Kasich spokesman weighing in on it? Okay.

Rush spent the balance of his show running interference for Lewandowski, while lamenting the way the media might use this against Trump, but what really got him lathered up was Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson having to endure a four-box with Wolf Blitzer and a couple of campaign flacks, which is her actual job. Here’s the segment that so offended Limbaugh’s sensibilities:

Limbaugh has been taking a lot of flak from conservatives who think he has sold out in order to back Trump, but he’s really just another resentful white guy who hates the media he thinks has abandoned him to the barbarians. Or at least, he plays one on the radio.
