Melania Trump Threatens Lawsuits After News Outlets Report on Claims She Was an ‘Escort’

melaniaA legal representative for Donald Trump‘s wife Melania is threatening to file a  lawsuit against several media outlets over a story about her modeling days.

Trump attorney Charles Harder sent an email to Politico, stating the the potential First Lady was taking issue with a piece from The Daily Mail that touched on the recent questions surrounding her history and her immigration status. Beyond these questions though, the piece cites an article from Suzy, a Slovenian magazine, which said Mrs. Trump’s former modeling agency also ran an “escort service” that she took part in.

“All such statements are 100% false, highly damaging to her reputation, and personally hurtful,” Harder wrote. “She understands that news media have certain leeway in a presidential campaign, but outright lying about her in this way exceeds all bounds of appropriate news reporting and human decency.”

Harder was recently thrust into prominence when he represented Hulk Hogan during his lawsuit against Gawker after the now-bankrupt gossip site published his sex tape. Harder also said in his email that Mrs. Trump is putting other outlets on notice for “false and defamatory statements” after running the escort story.

The Daily Mail said they spoke with the author of the original Suzy article, who defended his story and insisted it was backed by sources in the U.S. No concrete evidence has appeared yet to back up the story, and Paolo Zampilli, who ran Mrs. Trump’s modeling agency, dismissed the allegations as “f*cking rubbish”.

On Monday, Mrs. Trump tweeted out links from the Inquisitr and BipartisanReport, who apologized for spreading the escort allegations.
