Multiple people were killed and injured after a van struck pedestrians in Toronto earlier today.
UPDATE –– Police confirmed during a press conference this afternoon that nine people were killed and 16 more were injured.
Horrifying situation unfolding at Yonge and Finch. A white van allegedly plowed into a number of pedestrians. Early estimates 8-10 injured, possible fatalities. Authorities on scene investigating. The latest on @CityNews

#UPDATE: Toronto Police confirm a van mounted the curb and hit a number of pedestrians. The driver fled the scene. Police later located the vehicle at Yonge and Sheppard. Driver is in custody, alive, and no motive at this point @Citynews
