Sean Spicer Has Resigned as White House Press Secretary
Glenn Thrush of The New York Times has just confirmed that Sean Spicer will officially walk away from his position as White House Press Secretary. Spicer’s decision seems to be in protest of President Trump‘s decision to make Anthony Scaramucci the new White House Communications Director.

According to Thrush’s report, Spicer sharply disagreed with Trump’s choice to give the position to the Wall Street financier and former campaign aide. Spicer was reportedly concerned about Scaramucci’s lack of communications experience, and even though Trump asked him to stay on, Spicer told the president his decision would be a mistake.
Spicer’s presence at the White House Press Briefings has been in decline over the past several weeks. Beyond the new rules keeping the briefings off-camera and with delayed audio, deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders filled in for Spicer on numerous occasions.

It's been an honor & a privilege to serve @POTUS @realDonaldTrump & this amazing country. I will continue my service through August
