‘So Much for the #Pivot’: Twitter Reacts to Trump Blasting ‘Total Hypocrite’ Schumer Over Russia
Donald Trump took a shot at Senator Chuck Schumer on Twitter today, and the Twitterverse reacted by wondering why it took so long for the president to get back to attacking his critics.
Ever since Trump’s speech before Congress earlier this week, many in the political media world noted that Trump was more on message than usual and did not use the incendiary antics and rhetoric he typically favors. Some of Trump’s biggest critics gave him credit for the address, and there were discussions about whether this was the corner Trump needed to turn in terms of finally acting presidential.
Trump has gone several days without launching a controversial attack against somebody on Twitter, though he broke that streak today by blasting Schumer:

Trump’s tweet got a wide variety of reactions, with some remarking how the president was parroting a Gateway Pundit report that was pushed by The Drudge Report:
