Fantastic list gents – my only gripe may be the lack of Matt Hinton. Tough to put to college football bloggers on there alongside EDSBS, but Dr. Saturday is slightly more national than the SEC focus of what was at one time a Gators blog.

Thanks Dave. Dr. Saturday is another good one, but EDSBS is so funny we just couldn’t leave it out. On the plus side, we got a (brief, not explicitly mentioned) Dr. Saturday mention in there for the Chris Brown section.

On the other hand, Spencer Hall DID have some fun at the expense of my alma mater the other day, so there’a a slight feud between us in my own mind: http://www.everydayshouldbesaturday.com/2010/3/2/1333643/rutgers-is-the-alleged-frontrunner (That’s not me in the picture.)

World Cup, Superbowl, Olympic Hockey, Tim Tebow’s eye-thingies – look at the numbers kids, I’m the sports blogger to beat on this site. COME AND GET ME, MOFOS. Oh and I believe I called the Superbowl on Office Hours, isn’t that right, D. Foges? Yeah. It sure as hell is.

If your going to put Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter on the list for the NFL, you need to add @SI_PeterKing. I’d also add for basketbal analysts: @chadfordinsider, @RicBucher
, and @STEIN_LINE_HQ, & for hockey guys: @TSNBobMcKenzie, @FriedmanHNIC + @DarrenDreger

Sweet baby Jesus in heaven above. How in the world do you make a list like this and leave out Dave Portnoy from Barstool Sports? Even if you only did the top three list, he should be on it. You don’t see Rany Jazayerli (wasn’t that the Indian guy from Office Space that worked with Michael Bolton?) doing Chat Roulette in a tux. This list is the worst fairy tale since 4th grade when I only read the first 3 chapters of “Where the Red Fern Grows” and waxed poetically about how the dogs lived to a ripe old age in harmony with the raccoons of the woodland. I will let you take this list home and turn it back in on Monday.

Cut Dan Shanoff. His “most interesting project” has already jumped the shark — if it was ever buzzworthy in the first place.

Cut Katie Baker. So ESPN’s senior NFL writers get lumped together as one entity but a part-time blogger is on the list? Quality of writing is one thing but influence is entirely different.

Cut the all-they-do-is-tweet people… all of them. FYI – the old guy has tweeted 11 times in the past six months. Seriously.

Possibly cut Will Carroll. Is he prominent and informative? Definitely. Does he influence anybody? No, not really.

Consider adding Dan Steinberg from the Washington Post. He’s probably the best sports blogger working for a “traditional” media outlet.

I second Dave Levy’s vote for Matt Hinton and Skeets should receive some consideration.

Add ANY hockey writer… probably Greg Wyshynski, Darren Dreger, or Bob McKenzie. The fact that this list includes two soccer writers and two Royals bloggers is absurd. Posnanski is legit… but calling the others influential is extremely questionable.

Add ANY MMA writers… Sherdog, FightOpinion, MMA Payout, etc. are all quality. But then you guys might have to sacrifice a Royals blogger.

Sports bloggers and mainstream media aren’t exactly the same thing in my view. True sports blogs are generally the antithesis of professional journalists and the very reason why they were created in the first place.

This is really a list of people who write about sports, not about sports bloggers. The majority of well-written sports blogs never get mentioned because of the misconceptions of folks like you.

Putting mainstream sites like Yahoo Sports and ESPN among true sports bloggers is an insult. You’ll get no support from me and if you need a list of the truly best sports bloggers, I’ll be happy to share it with you.

I must say, this list has a lot of suck.

This article had a lot of potential. I would like to point out a key person missing from the list. Peter Robert Casey has a passion for social media and hoops. His blog http://www.peterrobertcasey.com @Peter_R_Casey and writes for the Huffington Post as well. PRC is accredited as being the first media member to use strictly social media. Should have been a shoe in if you ask me.

This is wonderful of the better blogs in the field of educational activity. If I don’t came in for a couple of days, there are so many posts that it’ll make me a couple of hr just to go through whatsoever I missed!! Praises.
