Trump Opens Fire on ‘Disgraced’ Andrew McCabe: ‘A Puppet For Leakin’ James Comey’
President Donald Trump responded to news that emerged Thursday from a 60 Minutes interview featuring former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe.
Employing his time-honored technique of “the best defense is a good offense” Trump tweeted, “Disgraced FBI Acting Director Andrew McCabe pretends to be a ‘poor little Angel’ when in fact he was a big part of the Crooked Hillary Scandal & the Russia Hoax – a puppet for Leakin’ James Comey.”
He continued: “I.G. report on McCabe was devastating. Part of “insurance policy” in case I won… Many of the top FBI brass were fired, forced to leave, or left. McCabe’s wife received BIG DOLLARS from Clinton people for her campaign – he gave Hillary a pass. McCabe is a disgrace to the FBI and a disgrace to our Country. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

An excerpt of the interviewed aired on CBS Morning which was followed by a panel discussion with Scott Pelley who conducted the interview and revealed further details that emerged from the McCabe conversation.
Numerous headlines have emerged, including McCabe’s revelation that, in the week that followed the firing of James Comey as FBI Director, serious discussions occurred at the highest levels of the Department of Justice about invoking the 25th amendment to remove Trump from the highest office.
Also, Rod Rosenstein’s reported suggestion of wearing a wire to surreptitiously record conversations with Trump was not a joke, as he had originally dismissed, but in Pelley’s words were “so serious.”
News of the McCabe interview quickly spread across the morning show landscape, which certainly caught the attention of the President who is something of a cable news connoisseur. So the fact that he would respond is not at all a surprise.
His public parading that he is so bothered by this news, however, is certainly newsworthy.
