Trump Talks About Having ‘Some Form of Punishment’ for Abortion
Donald Trump said at the taping of his MSNBC town hall tonight that if abortion was banned, “there has to be some form of punishment.”
According to Bloomberg, Chris Matthews confronted the GOP frontrunner about whether abortion “should be punished” and Trump said that certain Republicans believe that.
When pressed, Trump said, “I would say it’s a very serious problem and it’s a problem we have to decide on.”
He said “we have to ban” abortion even if we “go back to a position like they had where they would perhaps go to illegal places.”
But Trump is apparently not ready to say what that potential punishment would be, saying it needs to be determined:
“They’ve set the law and frankly the judges, you’re going to have a very big election coming up for that reason… When you say what’s the law, nobody knows what the law is going to be. It depends on who gets elected.”

This issue is unclear and should be put back into the states for determination. Like Ronald Reagan, I am pro-life with exceptions, which I have outlined numerous times.
